So, what is Sketch Club?
Mayad’s Sketch Club is my online home for anyone who loves sketching and watercolour, or would simply like to give it a go.
I’ve created a growing library of lessons, tutorials and exercises that you can dip into whenever you fancy. Start with the basics, follow one of my full sketching tutorials, or simply choose something that catches your eye.

Hi, I’m Mayad
I’m a self-taught artist and I didn’t actually start drawing until I was in my 50s.
I was designing houses for a living and wanted to sketch ideas for my clients. I struggled to find the sort of simple, step-by-step teaching I was looking for, so I taught myself instead... and got completely hooked.
That experience is really why I created the Sketch Club. I teach the way I wish I’d been taught, breaking things down, taking them one step at a time and, most importantly, enjoying the process.
And if you’re wondering whether you’ve left it too late to learn, you haven’t. Some of my students are still happily learning and sketching in their 90s.
Any questions before you jump in?

Absolutely. If you’ve never sketched before, Foundations is designed to help you start with the basics. And if you already have some experience, All Access gives you plenty to get stuck into.

Not at all. I’m a great believer in keeping things simple. You can start with a pen, some good watercolour paper and a small selection of watercolours. I’ll show you what I use, but there’s no need to rush out and buy everything.

Yes. There are no long contracts. Your membership is managed through Patreon and you can cancel any time if you decide it’s not for you.

Absolutely not. Everything is there for you to enjoy at your own pace. Some people sketch every week, others dip in when life allows.
